Despite previous doubts, a subsequent interview from KGRC government affairs director Todd Allen revealed that members had not yet voted on draft regulations at that time. However on August 12, the KGRC concluded and soon after announced official launch plans for the first day of September 2022 - just in time for the NFL season!

Can I Use the BetMGM Sportsbook in Kansas?

You cannot currently use the BetMGM sportsbook in Kansas. However, it should soon be cleared to launch. It has a market access deal with Kansas Star Casino, and it has not had any trouble securing licenses in the states it currently operates in. It provides a platform for Arizona sports betting, Colorado sports betting, New Jersey sports betting, New York sports betting and Michigan sports betting among many other states in the country.

When it is cleared to launch, anyone physically located in the state can use the BetMGM legal Kansas sportsbook and take up any of the generous betting welcome offers. That includes Kansas residents and anyone visiting from neighboring states such as Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. SB 84, the bill that came into effect on July 1, puts the state’s four retail casinos at the heart of the Kansas sports wagering industry. Boot Hill Casino moved quickly to tie up agreements with DraftKings and Bally Bet. Kansas Crossing Casino is expected to host Caesars sportsbook. It may also host PointsBet. The other casino, Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway, is owned by Penn National Gaming, so it will host that company’s flagship sportsbook, Barstool. Other potential operators that could launch in Kansas include BetRivers, Unibet, Sports Illustrated Sportsbook, Betway and Betfred.

Is BetMGM Casino legal in Kansas?

You will not be able to access the online casino when using BetMGM in Kansas. The BetMGM sportsbook Kansas launch is expected to take place during the upcoming NFL season, but the law does not include online casino gaming. BetMGM offers the country’s most popular online casino, but it is only available in four states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.
