It seems as though there is transfer speculation surrounding Wilfried Zaha at the end of every football season, and the 2022/23 campaign is no different. The Crystal Palace forward might have had an injury-hit season, but he has still shone for the Eagles, and perhaps this is the transfer window where he makes a move away from Selhurst Park.

Zaha is out of contract at Crystal Palace this summer, and there are reports that the Ivory Coast international has been offered a four-year deal worth £200,000 per week to remain at the South London club. Although there are sure to be potential suitors trying to turn his head, will they want to offer him as much money as that? The latest odds from football betting sites suggests he has yet to make a decision on his next destination.

At the age of 30, Zaha still has a sizeable chunk of his career ahead of him, with Arsenal and Tottenham trading as the betting favourites to sign a player who has scored 67 goals in 275 appearances since returning to his boyhood club in 2015 from a failed move to Manchester United.

Zaha Could Be Tempted by Champions League Football With Arsenal

Wilfried Zaha has been linked to a move to Arsenal before and perhaps the prospect of playing in the Champions League could see the former Manchester United player make the short journey to the Emirates Stadium. It would mean that the 30-year-old could continue to be based in London and also get the opportunity to play for one of the leading sides in England.

Arsenal were battling it out with Manchester City in the Premier League title race for much of this campaign and the Gunners will hope to make progress in the Champions League, with Mikel Arteta looking to make quality additions to the squad in order to help Arsenal reach the next level. He could provide extra cover for the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

It’s easy to see a move like this happening, and Arsenal would surely be able to exceed the Palace four-year-deal that is on the table if they really wanted him, especially with the extra revenue for making the Champions League. Expect this player to be relatively high on Arteta’s shopping list this summer.

Tottenham Could Guarantee Zaha More Playing Time

Tottenham Hotspur are another London club that could throw their hat into the ring for Wilfried Zaha, and they certainly need to shake things up this summer. The 2022/23 season turned into something of a farce despite a promising start under Antonio Conte. Harry Kane potentially leaving this summer would leave a big hole to fill in attack.

Although Zaha is a different type of player to Kane, goals are certainly in his repertoire, and chairman Daniel Levy might be prepared to stump up the sort of deal that could attract someone who started out with the Crystal Palace academy at the age of 12. There’s also the likelihood that he would be more of a guaranteed starter for Spurs compared to Arsenal, and Spurs are the current joint favourites to land Zaha with soccer betting apps.

West Ham and Newcastle Other Premier League Options

Bookmakers certainly think that a London club could be Wilfried Zaha’s next destination, with West Ham also among the favourites to capture the Ivory Coast international. The Hammers would love to bolster their front line with this exciting winger who could instantly become a crowd favourite at the London Stadium.

However, should Zaha fancy a move away from the capital, Newcastle United may be ready to welcome the 30-year-old with open arms. The Tyneside club have just qualified for the Champions League and will now aim to recruit the calibre of player that can help them go deep in next season’s European competition while also competing hard in the Premier League once again.

It would seem more likely that Zaha would sign for Newcastle over West Ham given the former’s greater ambition and the fact that they’re now looking to mount a Premier League title charge next season. The Ivory Coast player would provide competition with the likes of Alexander Isak, Miguel Almiron and Anthony Gordon.

Could Zaha Head to Europe This Summer?

It’s not inconceivable that Wilfried Zaha decides to leave these shores over the summer and choose to sign for one of the leading European clubs. We’ve seen the likes of Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho have spells with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, and perhaps the Crystal Palace man might fancy the chance to turn out for a team who are proving to be really competitive in Germany and in European competition right now.

If Dortmund don’t come in for Zaha, then RB Leipzig are also regarded as potential suitors by most betting sites, and this is another leading Bundesliga side who could build their team around a player who has the capability to prove very effective in the league.

It’s also not out of the question that a Serie A club might come calling for his services, with Napoli having recently won the Scudetto and looking to continue their success, while Juventus, Milan and Inter could also be in the market for someone who has always been regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League to play for a non top-six club.
