Perhaps the best way to become truly familiar with a team, aside from watching them play, is to study their statistics. In the below tables, we’ll give you a rundown of the most important stats for both the individual components, i.e., the players, as well as the team unit itself. Having a good knowledge of these statistics can you help you later on, to identify bets that look like good value. For example, knowing which players are most, or indeed least, likely to score, assist or even shoot on a given night can be a big advantage when it comes to NHL player prop betting.

The St. Louis Blues finally reached the holy grail of hockey, when they won the Stanley Cup in 2019. As an NHL team since 1967, their success was long overdue. The Blues hold the third-longest streak of consecutive postseason appearances in North American pro-sports history, having gone a full 25 successive seasons without missing the playoffs, from 1980 to 2004.
Their cup success in 2019 was made all the more impressive by the manner of their victory. Having never so much as reached a Stanley Cup Finals in their 40-year history, the Blues found themselves bottom of the National Hockey League on January 3. The introduction of Jordan Binnington would turn their season right around, as they picked up 30 wins and 65 points in their final 45 games, leading the league over that timeframe.
Must be 21+ to participate. T&Cs apply.
With each passing round of the playoffs, the Blues gathered more and more momentum, through close series, before eventually defeating the Boston Bruins in a game seven on the road in TD Garden. Despite not having a single player register over a point-per-game rate in either the regular season or the playoffs, the Blues were Stanley Cup champions for the first time in their history, dating back over half a century.
Among the most famous names to have plied their trade in The Lou, is Brett Hull. Son of the late, great Bobby Hull, Brett would go on to be one of the all-time greatest goalscorers in the history of the game, racking up 741 goals in 1,269 regular season games, as well as 103 goals in the postseason. Hull’s jersey, the No. 16, hangs from the rafters at the Enterprise Center.
