You can also look for answers using a search bar.

If you can’t find the answers you need, you can click on the “Support chat” tab to contact a staff member. The first thing this will do is bring up a “Support” pop up on your screen. The pop-up will ask for your question and provide answers from the FAQs relating to this. Only once you have done this can you contact customer support. This was a little bit tedious, especially if you have already searched through the FAQs for answers. The customer service team is available for live chat, but this is only available between 09:00 and 02:00 ET. There is also an email contact form but no phone number you can call.

While every BetRivers sports betting customer support member we spoke with was gracious and knowledgeable, the company needs to do more. We think 24/7 live chat is essential these days and something other bookmakers offer. Additionally, a phone number to call would prove a handy addition to the customer support page.

BetRivers Responsible Gambling

Responsible gambling is an important issue we feel sportsbooks need to address, and our reviewers found a mixed bag at BetRivers.

We’ll start with the downside and say it is too hard to find the BetRivers responsible gambling page. It is common for bookmakers to bury the link to its responsible gambling measures at the bottom of the page. This is a problem in itself. But when we looked, it was not present on the BetRivers site. Soon we realised the site labels this section as “Player Protection” and not the industry norm “Responsible Gambling.” It is a subtle change and not a huge issue, but we would prefer BetRivers to make this section clearer.

Once we got to the responsible gambling hub, we found a lot of helpful information. There was information on bankroll management, knowing the signs of addiction, learning methods for walking away and access to third-party resources. The section is good but nowhere near as extensive compared to other bookmakers. There are also links to third party help like Gamblers Anonymous and state-specific help.

This is really where the help ends. There is some good stuff here, but we hope BetRivers expands this section. The lack of access to responsible gambling resources and tools like deposit limits is disappointing and is an area the sportsbook can improve in the future.

The Connecticut Lottery licensed one, and that was SugarHouse sportsbook. By the end of its 10-year deal with the Constitution State, RSI will have 15 retail sports betting locations in the state.

Illinois

Illinois sports betting began in March 2020. BetRivers Illinois started taking bets in June 2020. If you are in the Prairie State, you can visit the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines to make deposits and withdrawals from your BetRivers IL account. Illinois is the home state of BetRivers’ parent company, and the connections run even more deeply now with its partnership with the Chicago Bears, the state’s beloved NFL team.

Indiana

Indiana sport betting started accepting legal online sports bets, and on October 2019, BetRivers became available to bettors in the state. That’s because the sportsbook received its license from the Indiana Gaming Commission. BetRivers has a partnership with the French Lick Casino Resort.

Iowa

From August 2019, online sports bets have been taken legally in Iowa. BetRivers online sportsbook launched in January 2021. The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission licenses and regulates its Iowa sports betting to ensure it is secure for all players. In the Hawkeye State, BetRivers has a partnership with Wild Rose Casino. Michigan
