Liverpool had a 2021/22 season to remember. The Reds beat Chelsea in the EFL Cup final and then managed the same feat in the FA Cup. Jurgen Klopp's side reached the Champions League final before being beaten by Real Madrid in Paris. They also pushed Manchester City all the way in the Premier League title race, and the quadruple dream was on right until the final few weeks of the campaign.

Perhaps their exertions during that campaign has caught up with them. The 2022/23 season got off to a wobbly start, with Liverpool dropping lots of points in the Premier League, and there was a also a 4-1 reverse to Napoli in the Champions League. However, a 1-0 win over Manchester City at Anfield might have set the Reds back on course to have a successful season.

At the time of writing, Liverpool are 2000/1 to win the quadruple. This might seem a far-fetched prospect considering the Reds are playing major catch-up in the Premier League title race, although they have previously been champion material, while we shouldn't forget that they won both domestic cups last season.

Can Liverpool Regain Their English EPL Title?

Liverpool have certainly given the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea a headstart in the Premier League title race. Jurgen Klopp's side have a modest return of 13 points from 10 games played, although their recent 1-0 win over Pep Guardiola's side means that they can't be ruled out just yet.

Klopp will be hoping that the Premier League title race involves several teams and that Manchester City don't race away at the top, with Arsenal currently sitting in first position even if the bookies anticipate Guardiola's men securing yet another title.

Liverpool are hovering around the 20/1 mark, although they did manage to amass 92 points last season, which was a remarkable achievement. There will be plenty of confidence in the ranks after beating the football betting sites' favourites at Anfield, with Mohamed Salah looking like the force of old in that clash.

Liverpool 2000/1 to Enjoy a Historic Quadruple

Liverpool might be missing Sadio Mane this season, but the team still have lots of strong attacking weapons. Much depends on whether Mohamed Salah can regain the sort of form that has helped the Reds already win a Premier League title and Champions League crown. The Egyptian is now flanked by new signing Darwin Nunez, and the injuries to Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz mean that the Uruguayan needs to find his feet quickly after an inauspicious start.

If you were going to have a tentative punt on Liverpool to win the quadruple this season, now might be the time. We're still at a relatively early stage of the football season, and there are more than enough games for the Merseyside outfit to get back into contention when it comes to the Premier League. This is a side who know how to go deep in Europe, while they are the current holders of the FA Cup and EFL Cup.

Liverpool Among Favourites to Win Champions League

Liverpool have an excellent track record in the European Cup under Jurgen Klopp. They have landed one Champions League title and also reached two finals, being beaten by Real Madrid on both occasions. Last season, they were strong favourites to win the Paris final, and it's likely they will end up at the business end of the tournament again this time around.

The passionate home crowd at Anfield will always give them a potential advantage over opponents in knockout European football, although there are now so many dangers lurking both domestically and in Europe. Bayern Munich and PSG will expect to give a better account of themselves, while Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham could also be dangerous.

Liverpool remain among the favourites to win the Champions League although the Reds are likely to finish second behind Napoli in their group, and that could mean a tricky last-16 clash against one of the section winners. At least they are guaranteed to avoid an English opponent until the last-eight phase.

Can Liverpool Land Cup Treble This Season?

There's no doubt Liverpool are effective as a team in the cup competitions, with William Hill making them a 250/1 chance to secure the Champions League title along with the two domestic pots. When it came to the latter, they were able to win both Wembley finals although the fact that both were penalty shootout wins over Chelsea suggests things were a bit close for comfort.

Liverpool have achieved two trebles during their long and illustrious history although neither comprised the Premier League, FA Cup and European Cup. In the 1983-84 campaign, Bob Paisley engineered a domestic league and European Cup success along with the League Cup.

Similarly, the late Gerard Houllier steered the Reds to a treble victory in the 2000/01 season when landing the domestic cups along with UEFA Cup success.

Liverpool 3/10 Not to Win a Major Trophy

Bookmaker William Hill has 3/10 that Liverpool miss out on silverware this season, and it's easy enough to see this happening. While the Reds landed the FA Cup and EFL Cup last season, a penalty shootout against Chelsea could have gone either way on both occasions.

When it comes to the Premier League title, Manchester City are odds-on to become champions. They have won four of the past five titles and the cup competitions naturally come down to the draw, with Klopp committed to fielding an inexperienced team during the early rounds of the EFL Cup and FA Cup which makes them vulnerable.
